Which makes me feel less guilty about telling you how nervous he was yesterday.

Nervous is putting it mildly. He was worried about everything. Wish you could’ve seen him. Now that it’s after the fact and everything went right, it’s prime teasing material.

That’s adorable, heh. I’m sad I missed it. It’s not every day you see the infamous Red Hood nervous.

We head home in the morning. We came in yesterday so we had some time to enjoy ourselves but I've got too many leads to follow to be on vacation right now. We're still on when you get back to Gotham right? Even now that you're living the married life?

All that matters now is that you spend the rest of your life being happy, you go out there and you live your life with no chip on your shoulder, you hear me Harper?

I’ve not exactly been able to be there for you when things got to their worst — hell, Hal was dead around that time. Roy probably hadn’t even found out about it until weeks later — but that doesn’t mean I’m not proud of you. Especially for not giving up.

Now go on, stop giving this old dog time to bark and go spend time with Jason.

“It’s official enough for me. And I’ll get used to signing my name Roy Harper-Todd,” he laughs softly. He hasn’t imagined himself getting married since he was still a little kid on the Navajo reservation who had fallen hard for a Native girl. Official or unofficial, this was amazing, and all he could ever ask for.

“This is a good time to kiss the bride, right? Because I don’t think I can wait any longer,” he teases and pulls Jason close, kissing him long and deep. He might be going out of order or missing a step, but Roy doesn’t care.

Jason doesn’t get a chance to actually respond before Roy’s pulled him in and otherwise occupied his lips. He knows his answer would’ve been a very resounding yes though, as he wraps his arms around Roy and holds the archer close to him.

20 years old, legally dead, and in that moment happier than he’s ever been in his entire life.

Roy kisses Jason until his lungs ache for air. When he pulls back, he makes sure that his hand finds Jason’s and clasps it tight. Lifting his head, beams, looking around at his friends and family.

“Thank you, everyone, so much for coming. It means a lot to me.”
